LeSean McCoy on Chip Kelly racism accusation: 'I never regret nothing I say'
Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy bristled when asked to clarify comments he made last month that seemed to accuse former head coach Chip Kelly of racism.
McCoy, whom Kelly traded from the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year, said Kelly got rid of "all the good black players" and strongly suggested it wasn't a coincidence.
Kelly has since said he respects McCoy but disagrees with him. Several black players have publicly supported Kelly.
"I have nothing more to say about it," McCoy told reporters Wednesday. "I'm done talking about it."
Pressed for comment, McCoy threatened to end the interview.
"I never regret nothing I say," he added before moving on to other topics.
Unless McCoy can provide concrete evidence Kelly's actions were motivated by race, it's difficult to see his comments as anything other than baseless. For now, it looks like McCoy has no interest in providing that evidence, if it exists.
