Randy Moss comes to Tom Brady's defense after 4-game suspension

A game away from sporting immortality, Tom Brady and Randy Moss will always be inextricably linked to the New England Patriots' 2007 season.

Brady's 50 passing touchdowns, and Moss' 23 receiving scores broke single-season records, the latter of which still stands. However, the season was all for naught as the previously undefeated Patriots were defeated by the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII, one of the biggest upsets of all time.

Moss recently defended Brady against accusations about his professionalism and work ethic after Brady was suspended four games following the release of the Wells Report.

"I've always stood in Tom's corner,'' Moss told reporters at his football camp Saturday. "I called myself a professional but that man was definitely a letter grade above me.''

Brady's suspension was handed down after the Wells Report alleged that he was uncooperative with the league's investigation into underinflated footballs during the AFC Championship Game. Moss was dismissive of the allegations, and the subsequent sanction.

"Over some air?'' Moss said of the suspension. "If he did it, so what? He hasn't shown me anything but how he carries himself as a professional man, husband, father and athlete. Tom Brady is a pro's pro. I love the man and everything he's accomplished.''
