Packers to launch new line of Brett Favre merchandise
The Green Bay Packers are launching a new line of Brett Favre merchandise ahead of the former quarterback's induction into the team's Hall of Fame.
The merchandise includes items geared towards the Packers' Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Chicago Bears – during which Favre will have his No. 4 jersey retired – and will be available exclusively at the Pro Shop beginning Thursday.
Hats, T-shirts, blankets, coffee mugs, and Christmas ornaments are just some of the items available for purchase, many of which include Favre's photo, name and number, or stats.
Favre played for the Packers from 1992 to 2007 and went on to suit up for the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings before calling it a career in 2011.
"Interest is starting to move up again with him being in the limelight," Packers director of retail operations Peggy Prebelski told Richard Ryman of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "We are getting people looking for his merchandise in the store, and even at the call center asking if we'll have his merchandise. He definitely will be a best seller."
Favre's Packers Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place Saturday. It will be aired live on Packers TV Network and NFL Network as well as streamed on Packers.com.
