Report: Rams talking with Janoris Jenkins about contract extension

The St. Louis Rams and Janoris Jenkins are discussing a contract extension, according to Rand Getlin of NFL.com.
Jenkins and his representatives would prefer to get a deal done ahead of the season, and seem optimistic about the prospect of finishing it in time.
The corner has shown a special ability to make big plays on the field, but has struggled to become the shutdown corner the Rams expected him to be coming out of Florida.
The 27-year-old Jenkins is owed just over $1 million this season, the final year of his team-friendly rookie deal.
