Report: Seahawks, Wagner agree to 4-year, $43-million extension
The Seattle Seahawks have locked up Bobby Wagner.
The club and the All-Pro linebacker have agreed to a mammoth four-year, $43-million contract extension ($22 million guaranteed), NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Wagner, who tweeted "Can't keep everyone" after quarterback Russell Wilson signed his contract extension earlier in the week, said Friday he had a deadline of "Now" for the Seahawks to get his autograph on a contract, which clearly worked.
The 25-year-old played 11 regular-season games last year, earning his first All-Pro selection as an integral part of the league's best defense.

With the reported extension, Wagner joins a long list of core Seahawks players under contract through at least 2017: Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Kam Chancellor, Jimmy Graham, Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Wilson, and K.J. Wright.
Wagner, a second-round pick out of Utah State in 2012, had 83 tackles and two sacks in 2014, and an interception in three playoff games.
Bottom line: The Seahawks' window remains wide open, and their stingy defense will remain a force this season and in the years to come.
