Cardinals' John Fullington carted off with apparent knee injury

Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman John Fullington was carted off with an apparent knee injury Wednesday, according to the team's vice president of media relations, Mark Dalton.

Fullington was expected to compete for a starting tackle spot. Although Jared Veldheer is firmly in control at left tackle, Fullington could've supplanted Bobby Massie at right tackle, one of the league's worst pass blockers.

The 24-year-old signed with the Cardinals in January, but did not play a snap during the 2014 season. Previously, Fullington played for the Green Bay Packers, signing as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State in 2014.
