Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas suffered a stable fracture in his hand in Friday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Thomas is expected to miss the next three weeks, but head coach Gus Bradley believes he'll be back for the start of the regular season.

The injury is to the middle finger on Thomas' left hand, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Jaguars sources called the fracture "small," Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports, adding that Thomas will undergo a CT scan to learn more.

Thomas signed a five-year, $46-million deal with the Jags in March after catching 43 passes for 489 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014. Thomas had back-to-back years with 12 touchdowns in the Denver Broncos' offense.
