Seahawks' Chris Matthews leaves Friday's game vs. Broncos with shoulder injury
Andrew Weber / USA TODAY Sports
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Chris Matthews left Friday's preseason game with a shoulder injury, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN reports.
Matthews had a breakout performance in last season's Super Bowl, but the wide receiver injured his shoulder while attempting to recover a fumble. The Seahawks should provide an update regarding his injury later on Friday, but given that Matthews left straight for the locker room and will not return, it is possible the injury is serious.
