A day filled with insult for the Houston Texans ended with injury.
Running back Arian Foster suffered a torn Achilles late in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Foster will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the diagnosis.
Foster appeared to slip while running a pass route and fell to the ground in agony.
The Texans trailed 44-20 with four minutes left in the game at the time of his injury.
Foster was perhaps the lone bright spot for the Texans before his injury, rushing 59 yards, adding five catches for 66 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
Achilles injuries typically entail a recovery period of six-to-eight months, so Foster will likely be available for the start of the 2016 season.
