The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a four-year contract extension with linebacker Mychal Kendricks.
The deal is reportedly worth $29 million over four years, with $16 million guaranteed.
Rumors have swirled about Kendricks being traded all offseason, but the Eagles have decided to keep one of their best defensive players in the mix for the foreseeable future.
The Eagles have a major strength at inside linebacker with Kiko Alonso, DeMeco Ryans, and Jordan Hicks all available at the position.
Kendricks has tallied 264 tackles, three interceptions, and five forced fumbles during his first three years in the league.
