The Washington Redskins have reported that an independent neurologist has cleared quarterback Robert Griffin III to play Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens.
The team is not saying whether or not Griffin will actually suit up after he suffered a concussion in last week's preseason game against the Detroit Lions
Griffin participated in practice on Sunday, two days following the game in which he suffered the concussion. Questioned on Thursday about staying in the game after experiencing symptoms, Griffin demurred, saying. "I just work here man."
The former second-overall pick was hit on six of eight dropbacks in the game and was sacked three times before leaving.
