Vikings place Josh Robinson on PUP list, Carter Bykowski on IR
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Minnesota Vikings have placed offensive tackle Carter Bykowski on injured reserve and cornerback Josh Robinson on the physically unable to perform list.
The moves were made Monday, trimming the active roster to 76 players with one more reduction required by Tuesday to finish the first wave of cuts.
Bykowski was in the running for a backup spot, but he tore a pectoral muscle in the team's exhibition game Aug. 15. Robinson tore a pectoral muscle in minicamp and has not participated in practice at all during training camp. He'll be eligible to return to practice starting Oct. 19.
The Vikings released 11 players Sunday, getting ahead of the deadline. Running back Joe Banyard and tight end Brandon Bostick were the most experienced players let go.
