Offensive tackle Isaiah Battle and quarterback Austin Davis were among the St. Louis Rams' cuts, the team announced in a press release Saturday.
Battle was selected out of Clemson during the fifth round of the NFL Supplemental Draft, the lone player chosen in this summer's event. The Rams opted to keep Rob Havenstein and Andrew Donnal at right tackle.
Davis completed 63.4 percent of his passes last year for 2,001 yards, throwing 12 touchdowns against nine interceptions. St. Louis traded for Nick Foles during the offseason and Case Keenum was evidently viewed as a more viable backup quarterback.
