Browns list Dwayne Bowe as 3rd string on depth chart
While depth charts aren't gospel, it's still a bad sign that the Cleveland Browns have wide receiver Dwayne Bowe as a third-stringer on their most recent depth chart.
Bowe signed a two-year, $12.5 million contract in the offseason, with the expectation that he would at least be a starter for the Browns this season.
Formerly with the Kansas City Chiefs, Bowe has struggled to regain the form he showed in 2010 and 2011, when he was thought of as one of the NFL's best wide receivers.
Brian Hartline and Andrew Hawkins are listed as the starting wide receivers, with Taylor Gabriel and Travis Benjamin as their back-ups.
Bowe has struggled with injuries during the preseason, which has hampered his performances and could explain his current standing on the depth chart.
The Browns will hope that once healthy, Bowe will move back into the starting role and begin to justify his contract.
