PHOTO: Steph Curry hangs with Cam Newton, serves as 'Keep Pounding' drummer

The Carolina Panthers will have the backing of a champion Sunday against the Houston Texans, with NBA MVP Steph Curry in attendance as an honorary guest.

Curry will be the team's "Keep Pounding" drummer prior to kickoff. The Panthers tweeted out photos of Curry hanging out with quarterback Cam Newton and other players before the game.

The Golden State Warriors superstar is a Charlotte, N.C., native and a passionate Panthers fan who is often seen in attendance at games.

The Panthers will presumably hope to emulate some of Curry's magic.
