DFS: Week 4 Quarterback Value Rankings
Here's a look at theScore's quarterback value rankings for Week 3 (Thursday night and Sunday morning games excluded):

Top 3
In a week where bargain quarterbacks are everywhere, Carr has the edge by virtue of having the lowest price and the best matchup - facing a Bears defense that has allowed seven passing TDs through three games. Taylor is a steal at home against the weakened Giants, while Ryan gets a home date with Houston at a bargain compared to the elite tier.

Next 3
Each of these three elite quarterbacks have plus matchups, led by Rodgers; forget the "revenge on the 49ers" narrative, Rodgers is a sensational play thanks mostly to a catastrophically bad San Francisco defense. Luck should have a cleaner game at home against the woeful Jaguars, while Newton is a plus play against a Buccaneers side that has allowed six passing TDs.

Best of the Rest
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
7 | Carson Palmer (ARI) | vs. STL | Low |
8 | Peyton Manning (DEN) | vs. MIN | Low |
9 | Andy Dalton (CIN) | vs. KC | Low |
10 | Russell Wilson (SEA) | vs. DET | Medium |
11 | Eli Manning (NYG) | at BUF | Medium |
12 | Philip Rivers (SD) | vs. CLE | Medium |
13 | Kirk Cousins (WAS) | vs. PHI | Medium |
14 | Brandon Weeden (DAL) | vs. NO | Medium |
15 | Blake Bortles (JAC) | at IND | Medium |
Whether or not you believe Dalton is for real, he's simply too cheap for the potential he brings into his Week 4 matchup with the visiting Chiefs. Rivers returns home to a great matchup with the nation-traversing Browns, while Weeden is a sneaky tournament play against a Saints defensive unit that ranks among the worst in professional football.

# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
16 | Luke McCown (NO) | vs. DAL | High |
17 | Sam Bradford (PHI) | at WAS | High |
18 | Alex Smith (KC) | at CIN | High |
19 | Nick Foles (STL) | at ARI | High |
20 | Josh McCown (CLE) | at SD | High |
21 | Jameis Winston (TB) | vs. CAR | High |
22 | Colin Kaepernick (SF) | vs. GB | High |
23 | Matthew Stafford (DET) | at SEA | High |
24 | Teddy Bridgewater (MIN) | at DEN | High |
Bradford may be out of rope heading into Week 4, and could soon find himself on the bench in favor of Mark Sanchez. The best GPP flier in this group may be Kaepernick, with the 49ers looking at the potential for more garbage time; but DFSers will need to pray that Kaepernick's line ends up looking more like Week 3 (335 YDS-2 TD-0 INT) than Week 4 (67-0-4).
