Philadelphia Eagles kicker Cody Parkey provided a cringe-worthy injury update Tuesday, revealing that he tore all three muscles in his groin prior to Sunday's game.
The injury won't require surgery, but Parkey is done for the season after being placed on injured reserve. Caleb Sturgis will serve as his replacement.
Parkey said he first noticed the injury while warming up Sunday, adding that it's hard to say whether he'd been playing with the injury for weeks.
Parkey made 32-of-36 field goal attempts and all 54 of his extra-point attempts last season, setting an NFL rookie scoring record and franchise record with 150 points.
