Report: Cowboys fear torn ACL, MCL for Lance Dunbar
The Dallas Cowboys' offense is wearing thin after the first quarter of the 2015 season.
Lance Dunbar left Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints with a knee injury, and the team fears that he tore his ACL and MCL, according to ESPN's Todd Archer. The Cowboys running back will undergo a MRI on Monday.
Dunbar's knee violently bent out of place during the second half kickoff, and the running back immediately discarded the ball. He was helped off the field with the aid of trainers, and was later carted to the locker room with a towel draped over his face.
Dallas is already without quarterback Tony Romo due to a broken clavicle, while wide receiver Dez Bryant is sidelined with a broken bone in his foot. Bryant aims to be ready for Week 7, while Romo is projecting a Week 11 return.
Dunbar rushed for 54 yards on three carries before leaving the game.
