Lions' Matthew Stafford benched after throwing 3 interceptions vs. Cardinals
Tim Heitman / USA TODAY Sports
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was replaced by Dan Orlovsky during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals after throwing three interceptions.
The Lions turned the ball over six times as the Cardinals pushed their lead to 35-7 early in the third quarter.
After taking a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, the Lions once again allowed a team to score 30-plus unanswered points, failing to put up any resistance against a Cardinals team that stumbled against the St. Louis Rams last week.
Lions fans may remember Dan Orlovsky from the winless 2008 season.
