St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long did not suffer a significant knee injury and is considered week to week, head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters Monday.
Long was forced from the team's game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury, and the Rams feared he'd suffered ligament damage.
Long hyper-extended his knee, Fisher said, and there was no MCL or ACL damage.
The defensive end will likely miss several weeks with the injury, but with the Rams on a bye in Week 6, Long will have time to recover.
Long has 10 total tackles this season, and two sacks.
