Analysis:

Despite signing a one-year, $3 million contract in the offseason, Wright couldn't get on the field for the corner-needy 49ers, eventually leading to his release. He'll now join one of the few teams that is in worse shape at his position, which means he could actually take on a significant role. Wright is still far removed from the IDP picture, however.
