The Arizona Cardinals hosted cornerback Robert McClain on a free-agent visit Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of National Football Post reports.
The Cardinals are in need of help on special teams after losing safety Chris Clemons and linebacker Kenny Demens to season-ending injuries.
McClain was a seventh-round selection of the Carolina Panthers in the 2010 NFL Draft. He signed with the New England Patriots in March after three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, but was unable to secure a roster spot with the team.
In 63 career games, McClain has 202 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and three interceptions.
