Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews has been dealing with a hand injury for the past month, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com.
The injury, which is reportedly to Matthews' right hand, could explain the number of dropped passes he's had. The second-year receivers has six drops this season, second only to Julian Edelman, who has seven.
"It's embarrassing," Matthews said of the drops. "It's not me. I don't even know who that is right now playing. I have to do much better. It's unacceptable."
Eagles head coach Chip Kelly denied that Matthews is dealing with a hand injury, but did reveal that running back Ryan Mathews injured his groin in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
