The Chicago Bears are reportedly discussing bringing in free-agent running back Montee Ball as starter Matt Forte is sidelined with a knee injury, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.
While Forte's injury is not expected to force the running back to miss the rest of the season, said head coach John Fox Monday, the Bears will still need to bring in a running back for depth purposes.
Fox, Ball, and offensive coordinator Adam Gase were all with the Denver Broncos last season, making the potential reunion an obvious fit.
Ball has not played since his release from the Broncos in the offseason.
