Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Landry Jones has a severe low ankle sprain that will likely force him to miss time after the Steelers' Week 11 bye, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Landry, who started Sunday in place of Ben Roethlisberger but exited in the first quarter after getting hurt, received the diagnosis Monday after an MRI.

Roethlisberger - who entered in Landry's stead - made it through the game unscathed and will start for the Steelers coming out of the bye. Michael Vick is expected to serve as backup in Landry's absence.
