The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released safety D.J. Swearinger and linebacker Orie Lemon on Tuesday.
Swearinger recorded 12 tackles and a fumble recovery in seven games. The veteran safety was waived by the Houston Texans in May and signed with the Buccaneers the following day.
The Buccaneers hold two extra roster spots following Tuesday's transactions.
Lemon amassed two tackles, and was used sparingly.
