Rob Ryan found himself out of a job after the New Orleans Saints' defense got torched for 510 yards of total offense against the Washington Redskins, but he's managed to keep his wits about the situation.
"They made my bye week turn into a bye-bye week," Ryan said Sunday on NFL Network's "GameDay Morning."
"Something had to be done," Ryan said later on in the show. "Right now, the defense is ranked 33rd in the league and there are only 32 teams."
Ryan also noted it was his "first time with makeup, publicly or privately" and vowed to "come back with vengeance."
