Tom Brady: I still support 'good friend' Donald Trump
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady still counts himself as a supporter of presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Brady voiced his support of the questionably coiffed candidate this summer and somewhat reluctantly restated his stance in a Tuesday morning interview on WEEI.
"Can I just stay out of this debate?" Brady joked when asked about his feelings on Trump. "Donald is a good friend of mine. I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say. He's a good friend of mine."
Brady stopped short of saying he thinks Trump is the right person to be president, but did praise Trump's rise to fame and fortune.
"I support all my friends in everything they do. I think it's pretty remarkable what he's achieved in his life," Brady said. "You're going from business, kind of an incredible business man and then a TV star, and then getting into politics. It's a pretty different career path. I think that is pretty remarkable."
