Panthers' Norman: Odell Beckham Jr. is 'a special talent in this league'
Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman is in the midst of one of the best seasons ever by a player at his position, but could be in for a truly unique test Sunday afternoon.
Norman neutralized Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Dez Bryant, and Mike Evans, among many other premier talents this season, and will square off against New York Giants superstar Odell Beckham Jr.
Quickly becoming known for his candid demeanor, Norman raved about Beckham's ability ahead of their imminent battle.
"I think he's a special talent in this league," Norman said Tuesday on The Rich Eisen Show. "I think the stuff he's able to do, he is very, very much skillful in what he brings to the table. He plays in a big city and he gives 'em what they want, he gives the crowd what they want. He's been flourishing there so I have nothing but all nice and positive things to say and we'll see what that looks like on Sunday."
Beckham continues to operate in rarefied air, with 85 receptions for 1,320 yards and 12 touchdowns, and is coming off a two-touchdown, 166-yard performance in Monday's victory over the Miami Dolphins.
In a clash between the league's top cornerback and the NFL's most talented wide receiver, Sunday's game between the Panthers and Giants is appointment viewing.
