Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters removed himself from Saturday's game against the Washington Redskins because he didn't feel it was worth risking his health for a non-playoff team, according to Howard Eskin of FOX 29.
After confirming the report, the speculation is that Peters' time with the Eagles is likely over, reports Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News.
Peters, who has battled injuries this season, got hurt early Saturday and briefly left the field before returning.
He exited again late in the game with the result no longer in doubt and the Eagles essentially eliminated from playoff contention.
"I'm not going to get hurt for this," Peters was heard saying, according to Eskin's source.
