Frank Gore believed he was joining a Super Bowl contender when he signed with the Indianapolis Colts during the past offseason.

However, the Colts have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season, with their ineffective offense being one of the main reasons they missed out on the playoffs.

Following Sunday's victory over the Tennessee Titans, Gore was candid about his frustrations with how the season has played out.

"This was the toughest season of my career. A lot of f----- up stuff," said Gore, according to Tricia Whitaker of CBS4Indy.

With quarterback Andrew Luck missing for over half the season with myriad injuries, Gore has been forced to be part of an offense that's been led by the likes of Matt Hasselbeck, Charlie Whitehurst, and Josh Freeman.

Gore didn't sound happy about the prospect of staying with the franchise for his next two contracted years.

"I'm under contract. What can I do?" said Gore when asked about next season, according to Zak Keefer of the Indy Star.

The 32-year-old finished the season with 967 rushing yards, extending the Colts' streak to eight consecutive seasons without a 1,000-yard rusher.
