New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will make the fourth Pro Bowl appearance of his career, the NFL announced Friday.
Manning was added to the 2016 roster after one of the most productive seasons of his career.
The 35-year-old failed to lead the Giants to the playoffs, but threw a career-high 35 touchdown passes and set franchise records in passing attempts and completions.
Manning will replace Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is unable to play in the all-star game due to the shoulder injury he sustained in the playoffs.
Manning made the Pro Bowl in 2008, 2011, and 2012, but did not participate in 2011 because the Giants advanced to - and won - Super Bowl XLVI.
