The 40-yard dash is the highlight of the NFL combine, and now Adidas has added significant extra incentive for draft prospects to run a blistering time by offering a $1-million prize to the player that breaks the current record time.
Adidas made the official announcement on Twitter on Tuesday:
Break the 40 record, win $1 million.

The current record is held by Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson, who set a time of 4.24 in 2008.
The only catch is that the prospect must be wearing Adidas' 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats when they break the record.
