Brady, Belichick receive votes in New Hampshire primary
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are one of the most successful head coach/quarterback tandems in NFL history, but their popularity isn't limited to the world of football.
Belichick, who just wrapped up his 16th season with the New England Patriots, received one Democratic write-in vote in New Hampshire's presidential primary, as Ricky Doyle from NESN first noted.
For his part, Brady received two votes on both the Democratic and Republican sides of the ballot.
Those hoping to see Brady run for office some day are out of luck, though. While he considers Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump a close friend, Brady has made it clear he has no interest in entering politics once his football career is over.
"There is a 0.000 chance of me ever wanting to do that," Brady told GQ's Chuck Klosterman in November. "I just think that no matter what you'd say or what you’d do, you'd be in a position where - you know, you're politicking. You know?
"Like, I think the great part about what I do is that there's a scoreboard. At the end of every week, you know how you did. You know how well you prepared. You know whether you executed your game plan. There's a tangible score."
