Former Clemson cornerback Mackensie Alexander has decided not to participate in any of the drills at the NFL Scouting Combine on Monday due to a hamstring injury, reports Kimberly Jones of NFL Network.
Alexander has been dealing with the ailment since early January, and will now miss the chance to impress scouts in the 40-yard dash.
The 22-year-old is considered by most analysts to be a first-round talent, but he'll have to wait until his pro day on March 10 to prove himself athletically worthy of that status.
Alexander proclaimed himself as the best cornerback in the draft during his media session at the combine.
