Report: Bills place franchise tag on Cordy Glenn
The Buffalo Bills have placed the franchise tag on left tackle Cordy Glenn ahead of Tuesday's deadline, according to multiple reports.
Glenn will be owed $13.7 million for the 2016 season, though the Bills still have until July 15 to sign him to a long-term contract.
A 2012 second-round pick of the Bills, Glenn allowed just four combined sacks and quarterback hits last season - the third-fewest in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.
With Glenn tagged, the Bills will now turn their attention toward their other pending free-agent offensive lineman, Richie Incognito. Talks between the two sides are reportedly not going well, though, as one source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk the Bills are frustrated with Incognito's refusal to curtail his contract demands.
