Report: 4 teams interested in signing C.J. Anderson
The San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and Chicago Bears have all expressed interest in signing running back C.J. Anderson, reports Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a source.
Anderson is a restricted free agent, but could be acquired after the Denver Broncos reportedly placed the lowest-level tender on the 25-year-old.
The Broncos apparently used only an original-round tender on Anderson, meaning they can only match any offer that he receives. If they don't, they'll receive no draft-pick compensation in return.
While it's more likely than not that Anderson returns to Denver, the team's lack of cap space could allow one of his suitors to price the Broncos out of contention.
Anderson disappointed in 2015, but still compiled 720 yards on 152 carries.
