Report: Bradford, Daniel to compete for Eagles' starting QB job
John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports
The Philadelphia Eagles gave Sam Bradford a two-year contract worth $36 million last week, then followed it up by signing career backup Chase Daniel to a three-year, $21-million deal on the first day of free agency.
If you're trying to figure out which player will start at quarterback in Week 1, don't follow the money.
The Eagles will give Daniel every chance to compete with Bradford for the starting job, NFL Network's Albert Breer reports.
Daniel could even be considered to have a head start in the competition, having played under new Eagles head coach Doug Pederson in the Kansas City Chiefs' offense since 2013.
