The New Orleans Saints agreed to terms on a five-year contract with tight end Coby Fleener, the team announced Wednesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal is worth approximately $36 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Fleener caught 54 passes for 491 yards and three touchdowns in 2015, playing in all 16 games for the Indianapolis Colts.
It was clear the Colts wouldn't retain Fleener after they re-signed tight end Dwayne Allen to a four-year deal reportedly worth $29.4 million on Monday.
Fleener is a durable option and will be expected to become one of Drew Brees' top targets entering 2016.
