The Washington Redskins signed punter Tress Way to a five-year contract extension Saturday.
Although terms of the deal weren't disclosed by the team, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Way signed a deal that guarantees him $2.9 million.
Way averaged 46.1 yards per punt in 2015, the 12th-best total in the NFL.
The 25-year-old was named a special teams captain at the start of the season.
Way joined the Redskins in August 2014, after being waived by the Chicago Bears.
