Former Baltimore Ravens safety Will Hill has been suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Adam Caplan.

Hill was released by the Ravens earlier Wednesday.

The 26-year-old recorded 64 tackles, a sack, and an interception last season, playing in all 16 games for the Ravens.

This is Hill's fourth suspension related to performance-enhancing drugs and substances during his professional career.

While Hill's market value will be diminished by the suspension, he's an excellent run-stopper for his position, and has improved his ball skills throughout his career.
