The New Orleans Saints agreed to terms with safety Jamarca Sanford on a one-year contract, according to Rand Getlin of NFL Network.
Sanford has been with the Saints for the past two seasons as a depth safety and special teams player. He recorded 15 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble in 2015.
The 30-year-old played his first five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, where he was a starter in his final three years.
The veteran defensive back will continue to chip in on special teams and back up behind Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro.
