The Atlanta Falcons re-signed linebacker Philip Wheeler, the team confirmed Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wheeler recorded 29 tackles, a forced fumble, and a sack in nine games with the Falcons last season.
The veteran linebacker played in 149 snaps in 2015, according to Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper.
It's likely Wheeler will be used sparingly, as the Falcons aim to give their young linebacker core ample opportunities.
