Rex Ryan hopes Ryan Fitzpatrick leaves Jets
Never one to hide his true feelings, Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan has his fingers crossed that the New York Jets can't come to terms with Ryan Fitzpatrick on a new deal.
Ryan is 8-1 against Fitzpatrick in his career, including 2-0 last season, but still wants him out of the AFC East.
"I hope he goes somewhere else, I do," Ryan told ESPN's Rich Cimini at the NFL owners meetings. "He's tougher than hell. What's lost in it is, he might have played poorly against us - it might have been a bad day (in Week 17) - but I think they won five straight with him and he was lighting it up, probably the most yards in the history of that franchise. We'll see. Like I said, I hope they lose him."
Fitzpatrick was actually 102 yards shy of the Jets' franchise record for passing yards, but it's clear Ryan thinks very highly of the quarterback.
