The Minnesota Vikings have traded up to select tight end David Morgan out of Texas-San Antonio in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
In moving up to the No. 188-overall slot, the Vikings sent the No. 196 and No. 240-overall picks to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Morgan is a balanced tight end prospect whose ability as a receiver and blocker should allow him to challenge for a reserve role behind starter Kyle Rudolph.
