Earlier this offseason, Mike Vick announced that 2016 will be his final season in the NFL, and though he still remains without a team, the quarterback hopes to suit up one last time.

"I'm 35, about to turn 36," Vick said, according to David Teel the Daily Press. "I've got one more dedicated season in my blood, if somebody needs me to come in. But I'm kind of happy where I am right now."

Vick has played 13 seasons in the league, but due to his unique style of play, he's taken his fair share of punishment over that time. With teams looking for backups capable of staying healthy if forced into action, Vick appears to have been passed over for more reliable options this free agency.

If his playing days are indeed over, Vick says he's content with the career he was able to carve out.

"I've got my health, I've got my kids, I've got my family," Vick said. "The game has done so much for me in terms of relationships, opportunities to take care of myself and my family. I'm just thankful. I give all the credit to God."

The former No. 1 overall pick spent the 2015 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, appearing in five games and throwing for 371 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
