The Dallas Cowboys re-signed defensive end Jack Crawford to a one-year contract Monday, the team confirmed.

Terms of the deal were not released, but Crawford signed a contract worth $1.1 million and can earn up to $1.6 million with incentives, according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Crawford recorded 21 tackles and four sacks in all 16 games last season, making one start.

The 27-year-old is equally adept at playing defensive end or tackle, and his versatility makes him a valued commodity for the Cowboys.

Crawford played in 46 percent of the Cowboys' defensive snaps last year, according to Rob Phillips of the team's official website.
