Start

Cam Newton, Patriots

at Texans

Maddie Meyer / Getty Images Sport / Getty

While it's been an up-and-down season for Newton, he'll have an opportunity for a ceiling game this week against a Texans' defense allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to his position.

Prior to last week's weather-impacted contest, Houston had given up multiple touchdowns to six of the first eight quarterbacks they faced.

With the Patriots favored on the road, expect Newton to capitalize on the ground and through the air en route to a top-10 finish.

Boone's projection: 245 passing yards, 1 passing TD, 43 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD

Other QBs to start

  • Ben Roethlisberger at Jaguars
  • Kirk Cousins vs. Cowboys
  • Tua Tagovailoa at Broncos

Mike Davis, Panthers

vs. Lions

Sean M. Haffey / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Davis came back to earth after topping 20 fantasy points in his first three starts replacing the injured Christian McCaffrey. However, the biggest difference in his production was touchdowns.

The veteran backup found the end zone in four straight games from Week 3 to Week 6, but hasn't accomplished the feat since.

The Lions should be able to help with that. Not only is Detroit giving up the most fantasy points to running backs, Matt Patricia's defense has also permitted 18 touchdowns to the position in 2020.

If Teddy Bridgewater misses the game due to his knee injury, the Panthers will need to lean on their rushing attack even more. Consider Davis a low-end RB1 in Week 11.

Boone's projection: 75 rushing yards, 34 receiving yards, TD

Other RBs to start

  • Antonio Gibson vs Bengals
  • Kalen Ballage vs. Jets
  • Damien Harris at Texans

DeVante Parker, Dolphins

at Broncos

Chris Coduto / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Parker is still getting used to his new quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, which has led to some reduced stat lines in recent weeks.

Even so, if his touchdown catch in Week 10 hadn't been overturned, we'd be talking about him posting at least 60 yards or a score in each of Tua's three starts.

The duo will have another chance to get in rhythm this week versus a Broncos' unit that's given up five receiving touchdowns to wideouts in their last last three outings. That number likely would have been even higher had the Raiders not dominated them on the ground last week.

With Preston Williams on injured reserved, Parker's target share is secure in a game the Dolphins should control.

Boone's projection: 79 receiving yards, TD

Other WRs to start

  • Justin Jefferson vs. Cowboys
  • Brandin Cooks vs. Patriots
  • Jakobi Meyers at Texans

Austin Hooper, Browns

vs. Eagles

Gregory Shamus / Getty Images Sport / Getty

After two straight games where heavy winds shut down passing attacks, this week's forecast in Cleveland looks better ... at the moment. Rain could still be a problem, but that's far less concerning as long as the wind stays below the 15-mph mark.

That's great news for Hooper, who returned to the lineup and resumed his full-time role in Week 10.

Prior to his unexpected appendectomy, Hooper saw 23 targets over the previous three contests - and that was before Odell Beckham was lost for the year.

Expect Hooper to see a strong target share the rest of the way, starting against the Eagles who are the fifth-best matchup for fantasy tight ends.

Boone's projection: 64 receiving yards, TD

Other TEs to start

  • Hayden Hurst at Saints
  • Eric Ebron at Jaguars
  • Logan Thomas vs. Bengals

Sit

Ryan Tannehill, Titans

at Ravens

Frederick Breedon / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Tannehill is in the middle of his toughest stretch of the season, taking on the Steelers, Bears, and Colts over the last month before facing the Ravens this week and Indianapolis again in Week 12.

Unsurprisingly, we've seen the Titans' offense struggle at times during this difficult stretch and the increased passing volume we saw early in the year has disappeared. Tannehill averaged 34.6 pass attempts over his first five games, a number which has fallen to just 27 attempts per contest in the last four outings.

And it's unlikely he'll find success against the Ravens, who rank among the top 10 in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA. Only two quarterbacks have eclipsed 20 fantasy points against Baltimore this season and both instances occurred in the first six weeks.

Tannehill's schedule will improve soon with the Browns, Jaguars, and Lions on the docket starting in Week 13, but for now he's best left on your bench.

Boone's projection: 194 passing yards, INT, 14 rushing yards

Other QBs to sit

  • Jared Goff at Buccaneers
  • Matthew Stafford at Panthers
  • Baker Mayfield vs. Eagles

Ronald Jones, Buccaneers

vs. Rams

Ethan Miller / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Jones is coming off his best game of the year with 198 yards from scrimmage and a score on 24 touches. It was a dominant performance overall by the Bucs as they put up 46 points on a wilting Panthers' defense.

But now Jones will go from facing one of the five easiest opponents in terms of fantasy production given up to running backs, to one of the five worst.

As Ryan McDowell of Dynasty League Football pointed out, the Rams haven't had a single running back crack the top 15 in fantasy against them since Week 2.

And don't forget about Leonard Fournette. In the three games prior to last week's one-sided affair, Fournette outsnapped and outproduced Jones - an outcome that could occur any week depending on game script.

That makes Jones more volatile as a low-end RB2/high-end RB3. Depending on your options you might not have anyone else to pivot to, just don't expect another big game from Jones this week.

Boone's projection: 43 rushing yards, 9 receiving yards

Other RBs to sit

  • Melvin Gordon vs. Dolphins
  • Darrell Henderson/Malcolm Brown/Cam Akers at Buccaneers
  • J.K. Dobbins/Gus Edwards/Mark Ingram vs. Titans

Jarvis Landry, Browns

vs. Eagles

Diamond Images / Diamond Images / Getty

With Beckham out for the rest of the year, Landry should be set up to star as the Browns' No. 1 receiving option. As we outlined earlier, weather has played a part in preventing that from happening the last two games.

However, we also saw Landry held to a season-low 59% of the snaps in Week 10 - a worrisome development for a player we were hoping would be closer to full health coming off the Browns' bye. It's possible Landry's hip injury will continue to bother him for the remainder of 2020.

If the volume isn't there, Landry will be hard to trust as anything more than a low-ceiling WR3 in fantasy this week versus the Eagles. Only three receivers have topped 61 yards against Philly this season.

Boone's projection: 48 receiving yards

Other WRs to sit

  • Marvin Jones at Panthers
  • Corey Davis at Ravens
  • T.Y. Hilton vs. Packers

Jared Cook, Saints

vs. Falcons

Chris Graythen / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Cook's snaps have quietly declined the past two weeks, with the veteran seeing the field on just 36% of the Saints' plays. He's also only caught two passes during that time.

Rookie Adam Trautman has three receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown over that same span while playing over 40% of the snaps.

With such a small sample size, it's unclear if this is the beginning of a changing of the guard. Regardless, it renders Cook unstartable in fantasy until we get more data - even in an enticing matchup with the Falcons.

Boone's projection: 31 receiving yards

Other TEs to sit

  • Trey Burton vs. Packers
  • Tyler Higbee/Gerald Everett at Buccaneers
  • Dalton Schultz at Vikings

Stash

D'Onta Foreman, Titans

Andy Lyons / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Foreman, who finally looks recovered from the Achilles' injury that threatened his career, has found a role as the big-bodied backup to Derrick Henry in Tennessee.

One look at the Titans' schedule in the fantasy playoffs (Jaguars, Lions, Packers) is all you need to understand why Foreman could be a league-winning pickup if something happens to Henry down the stretch. All three opponents rank in the top six for most fantasy points allowed to running backs.

Cam Sims, Washington

G Fiume / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Over the last three games, Sims has taken a larger role in Washington's offense playing on 88%, 74%, and 94% of the team's snaps, respectively.

The 6-foot-5, 214-pound wideout has responded to the increased playing time, turning in 50 yards or a touchdown three times including 164 yards in the past two weeks.

With Alex Smith stabilizing the quarterback position, Sims is an intriguing deep pickup who could return flex value down the stretch.

Quit

James White, Patriots

White (42% rostered) hasn't registered a single rushing yard in four straight games and has yet to find the end zone this season.

Meanwhile, his pass-catching opportunities have diminished with Cam Newton under center, turning White into an unusable fantasy asset.

Jimmy Graham, Bears

Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / Getty

Graham (43% rostered) has been a touchdown-dependent fantasy option with five scores on the year, but has only two games with more than 35 yards.

In Week 10 prior to the Bears' bye, Graham played a season-low 58% of the snaps, while Cole Kmet saw the field 70% of the time. That's the first game where the rookie has outsnapped his veteran teammate and might be a sign of things to come moving forward.

Either way, Graham is nothing more than a streaming option in good matchups and since he's on bye, there's no reason to hold him on your bench.
