Before the chaos of free agency and the NFL draft takes hold, here's a quick breakdown of the offensive position groups teams should address this offseason.

Follow all the skill position player signings and their relative fantasy impact in our Offensive Free Agent Index.

Arizona Cardinals

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Tight End
2 Offensive Line
3 Running Back

With Kyler Murray taking his game to the next level, the Cardinals need to continue surrounding him with talented playmakers. Finding an impact tight end would add yet another wrinkle to their offense.

Atlanta Falcons

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Running Back
2 Offensive Line
3 Quarterback

The Todd Gurley experiment predictably ended in failure, leaving the Falcons in desperate need of a true starting running back. Team president Rich McKay has identified the running game as an area to address this offseason.

Baltimore Ravens

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Wide Receiver
2 Offensive Line
3 Tight End

The Ravens can downplay their need for a No. 1 wideout all they want, but until they upgrade their pass-catchers outside of speedster Marquise Brown and tight end Mark Andrews, this passing attack won't reach the next level.

Buffalo Bills

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Running Back
2 Offensive Line
3 Tight End

Head coach Sean McDermott said during his year-end press conference that the Bills need to run the football better. That goal could lead Buffalo to add a new weapon at running back, just as it went out and acquired Stefon Diggs and John Brown at wide receiver over the last two offseasons.

Carolina Panthers

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Tight End
3 Offensive Line

Teddy Bridgewater is a capable starter, but if the Panthers have hopes of contending, they'll continue to search for a real difference-maker at the sport's most important position.

Chicago Bears

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Offensive Line
3 Wide Receiver

Despite flashes of improved play in the second half of the season, Mitch Trubisky isn't the answer for the Bears. Fortunately for Chicago, this is an offseason in which several star quarterbacks will be available in free agency, on the trade market, and in the draft.

Cincinnati Bengals

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Tight End
3 Wide Receiver

The Bengals' top priority should be keeping Joe Burrow healthy, which means investing significant money and draft capital into their offensive line.

Cleveland Browns

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Wide Receiver
2 Offensive Line
3 Quarterback

The Browns are surprisingly strong across every offensive position. But with Odell Beckham Jr. recovering from a torn ACL and Rashard Higgins heading to free agency, Cleveland would be wise to fortify its WR depth chart.

Dallas Cowboys

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Quarterback
3 Tight End

Assuming the Cowboys re-sign Dak Prescott, their next order of business will be restocking a once-great offensive line. With better injury luck and a couple of new faces, Dallas' blocking unit could pave the way for this offense to become one of the league's best.

Denver Broncos

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Offensive Line
3 Running Back

Drew Lock's erratic play is quickly turning him into the Jameis Winston of the AFC. Just as the Buccaneers needed to move on from Winston to become contenders, the Broncos face a similar decision this offseason.

Detroit Lions

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Offensive Line
3 Wide Receiver

Matthew Stafford's trade request creates a huge hole in the middle of the Lions' offense - one that won't be easily filled. Regardless of who the front office finds to replace Stafford, expect D'Andre Swift and the rushing attack to be the focal point moving forward.

Green Bay Packers

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Wide Receiver
2 Offensive Line
3 Running Back

After approaching last offseason with an eye on the future instead of the present, the Packers suffered their second straight NFC championship loss. Let's hope they learn from that mistake and add some more receiving weapons for Aaron Rodgers.

Houston Texans

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Offensive Line
3 Tight End

Deshaun Watson's displeasure with the Texans' front office and ownership has put team and quarterback on a path toward divorce. If Watson leaves, Houston might be wise to wait until 2022 before seriously addressing the quarterback position - since it would be a favorite to land the first overall pick.

Indianapolis Colts

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Tight End
3 Wide Receiver

Philip Rivers' retirement means the Colts need a quarterback who can keep them in contention. Indianapolis is an extremely attractive landing spot for signal-callers, with a strong offensive line and an exciting group of young skill position players.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Tight End
3 Offensive Line

The Jaguars received a potentially franchise-altering gift when the Jets decided to win a game down the stretch and forfeit the No. 1 pick in this year's draft. Trevor Lawrence is the kind of prospect who could make an immediate impact and turn Jacksonville into a fantasy-friendly team for the foreseeable future.

Kansas City Chiefs

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Wide Receiver
3 Tight End

Injuries and opt-outs left the Chiefs' offensive line to operate well below its usual standard this season. While some of those players will be back in 2021, the team has enough depth elsewhere to focus on bolstering its blocking even further.

Las Vegas Raiders

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Wide Receiver
3 Offensive Line

The Raiders are fairly set at most offensive positions as long as their young receivers take a step forward as sophomores. The lone exception is at quarterback, where Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota seem more like placeholders than long-term solutions.

Los Angeles Chargers

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Tight End
3 Wide Receiver

With Justin Herbert emerging as a franchise player, the Chargers can focus on securing better protection for their young star passer. They may also be in the market for help at tight end if Hunter Henry leaves in free agency.

Los Angeles Rams

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Quarterback
3 Tight End

The Rams expect to have 39-year-old left tackle Andrew Whitworth back next season, but finding his eventual replacement and some additional reinforcements on the line is imperative.

Miami Dolphins

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Wide Receiver
3 Running Back

If the Dolphins are going to give Tua Tagovailoa his best chance to develop, they need a major infusion of talent on the offensive line. With four picks in the top 50, they have the draft capital to beef up their blocking.

Minnesota Vikings

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Wide Receiver
3 Quarterback

Though the Vikings could use depth at the skill positions, their starters are well-established heading into the 2021 season. That should allow them to focus on the offensive line.

New England Patriots

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Wide Receiver
3 Offensive Line

Cam Newton was unable to keep the Patriots in the playoff hunt, but their issues extend beyond the quarterback position. Until New England finds some reliable playmakers, it'll be hard for any QB to be a fantasy asset in this offense.

New Orleans Saints

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Wide Receiver
3 Offensive Line

If it seems like there's a lot of teams with uncertain quarterback situations, it's because that's the reality of the 2021 offseason. Taysom Hill performed well in Drew Brees' absence this year, but the 30-year-old is a long way from proving he's Brees' heir in New Orleans.

New York Giants

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Wide Receiver
3 Quarterback

If the Giants are going to give Daniel Jones another year to assert himself as the starter, he'll need more help on the offensive line. New York allowed 50 sacks this season, finishing tied for second-most in the league.

New York Jets

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Running Back
3 Quarterback

The Jets may choose to draft a quarterback second overall, but count me among those who believe we've yet to see the best of Sam Darnold - especially now that he's free of Adam Gase. If New York opts to give Darnold another shot, it should continue its efforts to rebuild the line and find a quality running back who can carry some of the offensive load.

Philadelphia Eagles

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Wide Receiver
3 Running Back

When injuries derail your aging offense, it might be time to reload with some younger bodies up front. Whether it's Carson Wentz or Jalen Hurts under center, the Eagles need to begin the Nick Sirianni era by replenishing their offensive line.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Running Back
2 Quarterback
3 Offensive Line

For the first time in a while, the Steelers' offense needs a lot of pieces, starting with a running back who can help power the attack and extend Ben Roethlisberger's career. With Big Ben's arm fading, finding a competent backup and a potential successor is also of utmost importance.

San Francisco 49ers

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Offensive Line
3 Running Back

Jimmy Garoppolo doesn't appear to be the player the 49ers hoped he could become when they traded for him in 2017. If they're looking for a chance to upgrade, this would be the offseason to do it.

Seattle Seahawks

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Tight End
3 Running Back

Whether it's to protect Russell Wilson or lead the way for the rushing attack they so desperately want to lean on, the offensive line is at the top of the Seahawks' offseason shopping list.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Running Back
2 Offensive Line
3 Quarterback

How unstoppable would the Buccaneers' offense be if they had a dynamic three-down back making plays out of the backfield? Fantasy managers have been dreaming about what a high-end running back could do in Tampa's offense for several years. Will this be the season it finally happens?

Tennessee Titans

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Offensive Line
2 Wide Receiver
3 Tight End

Building their identity around Derrick Henry and a dominant running game, the Titans need to make sure their offensive line is constantly improving to keep the machine rolling.

Washington Football Team

Rank Offensive Needs
1 Quarterback
2 Offensive Line
3 Wide Receiver

Alex Smith's comeback was a great story, but Washington needs to find a long-term starter at quarterback. Now that Ron Rivera has helped move the franchise in the right direction, fantasy managers will be very interested to see who the team selects to play alongside exciting young stars like Antonio Gibson and Terry McLaurin.
