Fantasy: Waiver Wire - Week 14
Every Monday during the season, theScore's Justin Boone runs down the recommended waiver-wire pickups.
Roster percentages are based on Yahoo leagues. Free-Agent Budget (FAB) amounts are based on a $100 salary cap. Only players rostered in less than 50% of leagues are considered.
Bye week
- Baltimore Ravens
- Denver Broncos
- Houston Texans
- Indianapolis Colts
- New England Patriots
- Washington Commanders
Quarterbacks
Russell Wilson, Steelers

vs. CLE | 35% | $5 |
Wilson was a forgotten man in the fantasy world after a couple down games. However, one of those contests was a snow-spoiled Thursday nighter.
In normal weather conditions this past week, the 36-year-old was more than able to capitalize in a win over the Bengals - throwing for 414 yards and three scores.
As long as the weather doesn't get in the way, Wilson should post another solid stat line against the Browns in Week 14. Consider him as a quality streaming option in a week when there aren't many available.
Caleb Williams is over the 50% rostered mark but would be among the top QB pickups this week if available.
Streaming options: Jameis Winston at PIT (15% rostered)
Risky streaming options: Will Levis vs. JAX (12% rostered), Derek Carr at NYG (15% rostered)
Risky streaming options (if healthy): Trevor Lawrence at TEN (36% rostered)
Desperation streaming options: Aidan O'Connell at TB (2% rostered), Cooper Rush vs. CIN (5% rostered), Aaron Rodgers at MIA (34% rostered), Bryce Young at PHI (5% rostered)
Desperation streaming options (if starting): Tommy DeVito vs. NO (4% rostered), Drew Lock vs. NO (1% rostered), Mac Jones at TEN (1% rostered)
Bye-week stashes: Drake Maye (16% rostered)
Long-term stashes: Michael Penix Jr. (1% rostered), Tyrod Taylor (0% rostered)
Running backs
Isaac Guerendo, 49ers
Next Up | Rostered | FAB |
---|---|---|
vs. CHI | 2% | $100 |
We all saw Christian McCaffrey suffer a season-ending knee injury, but what we didn't know until Monday afternoon was that backup Jordan Mason would join him on injured reserve with an ankle issue.
Now the 49ers' starting job will be given to explosive fourth-round rookie Guerendo.
Even with San Francisco underachieving this year, Guerendo is a max-bid waiver-wire add in Kyle Shanahan's offense. In the two games where he was given at least 10 touches, the first-year back turned in 10 carries for 99 yards against the Seahawks and 102 yards and a touchdown versus the Cowboys.
With little competition left, Guerendo is an RB2 with RB1 upside the rest of the way.
High-upside backups
We'll use this space to remind you of all the high-upside backups who should be rostered in most leagues, including:
- Braelon Allen (33% rostered)
- Blake Corum (14% rostered)
- Zach Charbonnet (40% rostered)
- Trey Benson (23% rostered)
- Tyjae Spears (39% rostered)
- Ray Davis (17% rostered)
- Jonathon Brooks (49% rostered)
- Tyler Allgeier (32% rostered)
Each of those players is one injury away from a significant role in their respective offenses, which could turn them into top-20 fantasy RBs.

Wide receivers
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Titans
Next Up | Rostered | FAB |
---|---|---|
vs. JAX | 18% | $29 |
Westbrook-Ikhine has become a regular in this space after scoring eight touchdowns over his last eight games.
During that stretch, he's only been kept out of the end zone in one contest and ranks as the WR22 in fantasy points per game since the Titans' Week 5 bye.
Tennessee has one of the easiest schedules for fantasy receivers for the remainder of the season, making Westbrook-Ihkine an intriguing WR3/flex option - even with some touchdown regression guaranteed.
Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are around the 50% rostered mark but should be rostered in most leagues.
WR4/flex options (if healthy): Keon Coleman at LAR (43% rostered), Cedric Tillman at PIT (43% rostered)
WR4/flex options: Adam Thielen at PHI (31% rostered), Xavier Legette at PHI (27% rostered), Marquez Valdes-Scantling at NYG (31% rostered)
WR4/flex options (if starter is out): Joshua Palmer at KC (15% rostered), Quentin Johnston at KC (43% rostered)
Risky flex options: Parker Washington at TEN (1% rostered), Elijah Moore at PIT (10% rostered), Michael Wilson vs. SEA (10% rostered), Wan'Dale Robinson vs. NO (43% rostered)

Injured-reserve stashes: Bub Means (1% rostered)
Tight ends
Will Dissly, Chargers
Next Up | Rostered | FAB |
---|---|---|
at KC | 42% | $7 |
Ladd McConkey's status for Week 14 is up in the air as he deals with multiple injuries. Even if the rookie wideout suits up, he might not be 100% against the division rival Chiefs.
Chargers receivers Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston will need to step up if McConkey is ruled out or limited, but don't forget about Dissly.
The veteran tight end has topped 40 yards in four of his past seven outings and gets a Kansas City defense that's top five in fantasy points allowed to the position.
Dissly will be a high-end TE2/streamer who could sneak into the low-end TE1 rankings with six teams on bye in Week 14.
Hunter Henry, Zach Ertz, Pat Freiermuth, and Cole Kmet are around the 50% rostered mark but should be rostered in most leagues.
Streaming options (if starter is out): Luke Schoonmaker vs. CIN (10% rostered), Dawson Knox at LAR (8% rostered)
Risky streaming options: Noah Gray vs. LAC (11% rostered), Mike Gesicki at DAL (16% rostered), Juwan Johnson at NYG (3% rostered)
Risky streaming options (if starter is out): Grant Calcaterra vs. CAR (0% rostered)
Risky streaming options (if healthy): Ja'Tavion Sanders at PHI (3% rostered), Tyler Higbee vs. BUF (1% rostered)
